The IP address on your printer can be set to Automatic or Manual.
A manual (fixed) IP address is recommended. Automatic IP address can change when the printer is restarted or the network connection is reset.
Ask your IT department to assign the printer a static IP address. This can then be updated in ColorProof under the Output Tab > Configure Printer (next to the Change Media button) > IP Address.
How can I check my IP address?
Sometimes it is necessary to set a new IP address on your Epson printer; for example, after moving office or changing from automatic to fixed.
The IP address can be set directly on your printer panel.
- Go to the Menu on your printer panel.
- Scroll down to ‘Network Setup’.
- Enable or show the menus if necessary.
Once the menu is active, you have access to the following settings:
IP Address Setting
The options ‘Auto’ or ‘Panel’. Select whether to use DHCP to set the IP address (auto) or set the IP address manually (panel).

If in doubt, set the IP address to Automatic.
You can also download the latest version of EpsonNet Config: this allows you to scan the network for Epson printers and configure the IP address remotely.
