There are several reasons why your jobs may not be processing in ColorProof. Here are some of the most common.
Your job is in error state
Some of the most common errors include your printer not being in a calibrated status, and the job being too large for the media size. Check the status under the Jobs tab.
A bad PDF is located within a hotfolder
Clear out all input hotfolders of images and restart ColorProof.
Services are not running
Right-click on the ColorProof icon in the taskbar and choose Service Monitor. Ensure all services are present. The PC may need a reboot to kick-start them.
The database may need resetting
Check out our article on how to reset the ColorProof database.
Is the PDF valid?
Make sure you can open the PDF in Acrobat. If the PDF is corrupt, it won’t process.
Is the PDF in the right color space?
Make sure it’s not RGB if you’re processing through a CMYK standard.
