It is possible to connect your Epson printer by either USB or Ethernet.
What’s the difference?
The WT7900 must always be connected by Ethernet.
When using a built-in SpectroProofer, an Ethernet connection is also required, to allow for bi-directional communication.
A USB connection is okay in all other cases.
Connecting via USB requires the driver to be downloaded and installed from the Epson website.
Connecting via Ethernet is more prone to external network influences, unless the connection is direct. x900, x890 and Px000 printers allow for direct Ethernet connections to your PC with their built in cross-over capability. If the printer and PC are situated close to each other, we recommend to connect them directly. A second network card is required.
