In case ColorProof does not start anymore and the following error message appears, please use the below list of solutions to fix the problem.
- Open the folder „GMG GmbH & Co. KG“
- Delete all files in the folder „CP“
- Delete all files in the folder „GMG ColorProof“
Solution 2: Replace the ColorProof config file by the backup config file.
Search for the following XML configuration files:
Depending on the installation you will find the files in: C:\Program Files\GMG\ColorProof05\ or C:\Users\Public\GMG\ColorProof
If necessary copy the “ColorProof.exe.backup.config” file into the folder with the “ColorProof.exe.config” file. Replace the config file by the backup config file: e.g. Rename “ColorProof.exe.config” by “OLD_ ColorProof.exe.config” and rename “ColorProof.exe.backup.config” by “ColorProof.exe.config”.
Now start ColorProof again. Should the error persist, please provide us with the ColorProof logs: ColorProof > Help > Technical support > Export error log.
